CISD will meet or exceed the state standard of at least 90% of the students and
each subgroup passing all parts of the TAKS.

ISD will increase average daily attendance for all students

above attendance for the 2007 2008 school year.

CISD will have an annual dropout rate of 1.0% or less for all students and all
subgroups.
Sands CISD will maintain the state acknowledged standard by increasing the number of seniors taking a college entrance exam and increasing the percentage of students scoring at or above criterion score.
Performance Objective:
At least 70% of graduates (all students and each student
group) will take a college entrance exam with 50% or more examinees meeting or
exceeding the criterion score (either 1110 on the SAT I Total or 24 on the ACT
Composite).
Sands CISD will improve instructional focus for students in special programs.

2007-2008 DISTRICT MISSION STATEMENT: The Sands educational system is committed to
providing opportunities for all students so that they may be prepared to
participate as responsible citizens in an ever-changing society. We are convinced that all students can
maintain a measure of success. We
pledge to provide for their development, mentally, physically, emotionally, and
socially to assure their success of tomorrows world.
Goal #1: Sands CISD will meet or exceed the state standard of at
least 90% of the students and each subgroup passing all parts of the TAKS.
District Performance Objective #1: Sands CISD student groups
[African-American, Hispanic, White, Limited English Proficient (Bi/ESL),
Economically Disadvantaged, Gifted and Talented, At-Risk, Male/Female, Migrant]
will meet or exceed the state TAKS Reading pass rates to attain Exemplary
accreditation status.
Sands School has 50% or higher
free/reduced rate and is a Title I School-Wide Campus. The State Compensatory Education funds will
be used on the schoolwide campus to support and upgrade the Title I program.
